Ce café cultivé sous ombrage offre une tasse acidulée aux notes chocolatées. Il provient de plusieurs petits producteurs dont les plantations de café sont situées sur les pentes de la Sierra Maestra, une chaine de montagnes au sud-est de l’île. Les principales variétés cultivées sont le typica, le bourbon, le catuai et le caturra.
Cet arabica est réputé pour son intensité aromatique, pour une tasse charpentée, riche et généreuse.
Particulièrement adapté à l’expresso ou aux machines à grains.
